Daphne loves strolling around the neighborhood after supper.  Not only is it good exercise, but it gives us a chance to have some valuable Daddy-daughter time and catch up with her thoughts & dreams.

"Daddy, why don't they have seat belts in Africa?" questioned Daphne on our first lap last night.

"Gee, why do you ask?" I replied.

"Mimi" (my mother-in-law, Jennie's Mom) "told me all about the town of Africa.  It's far away like California where Uncle Scott lives, but I don't want to go there.  Unless they have tractors."  I smiled while trying to hold back laughter.

"Tractors and back-hoes look like fun, " I said.

"Yeah, when can we buy one?  Maybe we can use one to build a giant swing set in our backyard?  You probably need directions, Daddy.  Can we just buy a swing set at Costco or Lowes?  You will need my help to build it -- I can help you put all the chains together and then I can hold the slide while you work on the stairs." Imagine an overly excited 4 year old talking a mile a minute and flailing her arms about as she speaks.

I thanked her for wanting to help.  "We'll see what we can do, " I promised.

"Hey Daddy?  I still want to go to a water park.  Can we go tomorrow?"  I told her that I had to work the next day, but I assured her we would go to Nashville Shores soon.

Although Daphne showers Shea with multiple hugs and kisses each night before bed, she's quick to point out how much she hates him.  Hehehe

She is still being sent to her room or time-out for taking Shea's toys or being rough with him several times per day.

Shea took about 6 or 7 steps in a row last night.  He should be walking VERY soon.  He claps and you can tell he is overcome with excitement everytime he takes a few steps on his own.  He's becoming a big boy!

Daphne has become more selective in her food choices, but Shea will eat anything AND everything you put in front of him!  He loves to eat and sometimes I think he eats more than Daphne at supper.

Daphne still weighs around 40 - 42 pounds and Shea is 18 1/2 pounds.

Until tomorrow,
