July 3 - Day 54 of IVF

Happy "the-day-before" Independence Day! As you probably guessed, we are still patiently waiting for Friday to hurry and arrive. Jennie is still getting slight cramps in her mid-section throughout the day. From what I have read, I suppose this is a good sign and seems to be fairly common.

Today, the embryos are 13 days old. In another week, heart tubes will begin to fuse, divisions of future vertebrae will appear, and a neural groove (future spinal cord) will form with a brain bulge at one end. Exciting, isn't it? :)



Well, I could probably ramble for hours, but I will pause for now...
